We have had actors use Sprechgesang (imagine Rex Harrison’s “singing” technique in “My Fair lady”) to wonderful effect. Please use the vocal ranges listed only as suggestions.

A female kangaroo and the mother of Roo. Kindhearted, patient, and motherly.

Narrator

The storyteller. Only heard, never seen.

Owl

A stuffy and talkative character who is prone to long-winded speeches. A superior but kindly manner. Perceived by the others as very knowledgeable.

Pooh’s best friend. Kind, gentle, and shy. Often fearful but can be very brave with Pooh’s encouragement.
